Welcome to the Women’s Pro Baseball Fan Blog – an unofficial fan blog for musings, news, opinion, and analysis on the Women’s Pro Baseball League. If you’re a baseball fan, a women’s sports fan, or simply curious about the new league, subscribe to my free newsletter below.
My name is Justin Jabs. I grew up rooting for the Chicago Cubs, then spent time working for the Milwaukee Brewers and Oakland Athletics. (You can read more about my baseball origins in this welcome post.) Now I’m a general baseball fan who has been following the women’s game since 2023 when I stumbled upon my first Team USA exhibition.
Stay up-to-date
This project is an opportunity for me to get back into writing and an outlet to follow the Women’s Pro Baseball League launching in May 2026. The entire newsletter is free and each post is sent directly to your inbox. (You can also read via the Substack app.)
Topics you’ll find here include just about anything you’d expect in another sports fan blog, simply written through the lens of women’s pro baseball: game experiences, news curation, story reactions, obsessing over merch and memorabilia, statistical analysis… you name it. (You can read more about my original plans for this blog in the aforementioned welcome post.)
Please get in touch or leave a comment! I’m excited to potentially connect with other WPBL fans as the league continues to grow. If you like what you read, thank you for sharing it with your friends.
Play ball!

Reading and enjoying the Women’s Pro Baseball Fan Blog is 100% free.
However, I know I personally enjoy cheering a few Bits to my favorite Twitch streamer1 from time to time. The joy of writing and knowing people are reading is reward enough, but if you feel financially motivated to support you can do so by clicking the button below.
(Honestly, I’ll probably just end up spending it on more WPBL merchandise anyway!)
Shoutout to Yusong Liu, whose weekly-ish Nancy Drew/knockoff point-and-click mystery streams are frequently enjoyed in the Jabs household.
